I have thought about making something with a similar format for the past year, I just had no idea how the technology worked… Too late to be original, but I still think this medium has great potential.
Ditch the cheezy narrator, use hand-drawn illustrations, animate tastefully, use atmospheric diegetic sound and music, and I think some really interesting work could be done with this format. It could become something entirely its own, or act as a film/comic book hybrid, such as what we see above.
